Fire Reaches Patocco

On 4 August 2013, one of the hottest days of the year, the fire that had been burning for three weeks on Monte Jovet reached the village. A light breeze caused the fire to spread rapidly and in the early evening it jumped across Rio Sbrici and spread rapidly up the narrow ravine.
