A village festival was held in Patocco on 14 July 2013 to provide an opportunity for the community and friends to get together whilst raising money for maintenance of the village church.
During the festival a helicopter shuttled to and fro dropping water on a small fire that had broken out on Mt Jovet. Little did we know then of what a major incident the fire would turn into in the coming weeks.
